Editorial Policy
This page explains how Commercial Roofing Insights researches, writes, and maintains its content, and how we handle corrections. We publish it because property owners making roofing decisions deserve to know where the information comes from.
How we research
Every guide is researched against current industry sources — roofing manufacturers, trade and industry associations, and established roofing contractors and publications — before it is written. We do not generate articles from unverified assumptions. Where a fact varies by region, climate, or building type (for example, exact pricing or code requirements), we say so rather than presenting a single number as universal.
What we don’t do
- We don’t invent statistics, pricing, or case studies to make an article sound more authoritative.
- We don’t publish contractor rankings, reviews, or “best of” lists. We currently have no paid contractor directory, and no guide on this site is written to steer readers toward a specific company.
- We don’t attribute content to fictional individual authors or reviewers. Articles are credited to the Commercial Roofing Insights editorial team, and that is an accurate description of how they are produced.
Independence
Commercial Roofing Insights is not a roofing contractor and does not perform roofing work. We are not owned by, and do not receive payment from, any roofing manufacturer or contractor to influence what we publish or how we describe a product or system.
Updates and corrections
Guides display a published date and, when meaningfully revised, an updated date. If you find an error or outdated information in any guide, contact us and we will review and correct it.
